The Commonwealth CORI Coalition is hosting its first major action in 2010 to push towards the passage of CORI reform in the House. Calling on all supporters of CORI reform to come down to the State House to be seen and be heard.  Please join us for speeches by our members and our lead sponsors.  We will then spread out in the State House to visit our legislators and encourage the swift passage of CORI in the next month. www.BostonWorkersAlliance.org

Barakat is a Cambridge-based nonprofit that does work in Afghanistan and the region around it. Their mission is to advance literacy and to strengthen education systems in these areas. Come learn directly from representatives of Barakat about the work they have been doing and how you can take action to aid the human rights situation in Afghanistan.

On January 27th the Honduran Resistance in Honduras has called for a demonstrastion in protest of the continual violations of human rights and the swearing in of Porfirio Lobo as President of Honduras elected under the coup regime.

Please join us on  WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 27 at 7PM to express your solidarity with the people of the Honduran Resistance at 101 Park Street Chelsea, MA (ROCA)
