As people here at home suffer from the most severe economic crisis since 1929, the Obama Administration is asking Congress for a Supplemental spending bill of $33 billion to pay for an escalation of the war in Afghanistan, as well as a 2011 military budget of $708. These are costs that come at the expense of urgently needed domestic programs.

This conference call will be provide an opportunity to strategize about the upcoming Supplemental request, as well as to share ideas and hear about some local initiatives to link war and military spending to the freezes and cuts in social spending.
