Barney Frank: “CUT THE MILITARY BUDGET”
Sunday, April 26, 7:00 p.m.
at the Eliot Church, 474 Centre Street, Newton Corner

“…self-described centrist and even liberal organizations
often talk about the need to curtail deficits by cutting Social
Security, Medicare, Medicaid and other programs that have a
benign social purpose, but they fail to talk about one area
where substantial budget reductions would have the doubly
beneficial effect of cutting the deficit and diminishing
expenditures that often do more harm than good...”
In 2007, the US was responsible for 45 per cent of the world’s
military spending, distantly followed by the UK, China,
France, and Japan each with 4 to 5 per cent of the world
share*. Join with us to hear Rep. Frank’s proposals for
reducing the U.S. military budget with a question and answer
session to follow.
