Where: 44 Winter St • 4th Floor • Boston
2010 Jun 6 - 1:00pm
2010 Jun 6 - 4:30pm

MASSPIRG is co-sponsoring an Activist Workshop.

Run by trainers affiliated with The Public Interest Network, the Activist Workshop will cover the best techniques for organizing your neighbors to take action, and the best ways to persuade your local media to cover an issue you care about.

Together with other members and activists, both professional and volunteer, from other public interest organizations, you'll have an opportunity to learn, share ideas and make new connections.

Show-up ready for action. We will spend the day moving between large group overviews and small groups to give people an opportunity to learn and internalize skills.

Please pre-register.  We are requesting a $10 donation from each participant to defray the cost of the workshop. The skills we are focused on are skills passionate activists need.

Here's the agenda:

1:00 – 1:15 Welcome/Introductions

1:15 – 1:30 Overview of Volunteer Recruitment

1:30 – 2:10 Small Groups: Volunteer Recruitment
