UJP office

Discussion

AFSC has offered UJP the office at the bottom of the stairs (formerly Project Hip Hop).  There are no available spaces upstairs.

Action Taken / Decisions Made

Everyone agreed that UJP should take the office at the bottom of the stairs.  Duncan will inform Katherine of AFSC that we have made this decision and inquire as to when we can move in.

Future Tasks

We need 4 people to volunteer 2 hours each for the move-in.

Structure draft

Discussion

There was lengthy discussion of the draft, with membership on the Planning Group receiving the most attention.  Issues included which bodies are represented and should there be a fixed number of positions on the committee.

Action Taken / Decisions Made

Tony will present proposal at June 13 meeting and ask for approval as interim structure.  The document will be sent to all UJP member groups for feedback and suggestions, with final approval at a meeting in the Fall.

Future Tasks

Committee must prepare final draft by Saturday June 13.

Addendum:

Agreed to pay $445 (working with Peace Action) as remaining monies owed for 25% Solution Brochure.  Prasannan will see that fundraising continues for another $200 or so.
