Unbound: Harvard Journal of the Legal Left Presents:
Afghanistan: The Good War?
Tariq Ali on US foreign policy in the Hindu Kush
Join Unbound for a discussion with Tariq Ali on the war in Afghanistan and US policy in the region. The Obama administration has been greeted as marking the start of a new era of foreign policy, but while an end to adventurism in Mesopotamia is promised, the conflagration in Afghanistan appears set for escalation: more troops, more tension with Pakistan, more Afghani civilian deaths. Tariq Ali is a novelist, historian, political campaigner and editor of the New Left Review. A leading figure of the international left since the 60s, his latest book is The Duel: Pakistan on the Flight Path of American Power.
All are welcome.
