Thursday, March 19 marks the 6th anniversary of the Iraq war. Join us for a candlelight vigil from 6 - 7:30 pm in Watertown Square.
Let us not forget that we are in a war that has killed over 4,226 US soldiers and wounded over 30,000; has left over 1 million Iraqis dead and over 4.5 million displaced; and has cost nearly $590 BILLION, over $430 million each day.
Let us not forget that the war continues while teachers are not hired; bridges and roads are not repaired; houses are not built; and healthcare is denied or deferred.
Let us not forget that the war continues in the midst of the worse economic decline since the Depression and unemployment, foreclosures, homelessness, and despair increase.
Bring candles and signs that reflect your feelings about the ongoing war in
Iraq.
Sponsored by the Justice with Peace Task Force of WCES. If you have questions, please call 617-926- 8560, mailbox 2.
