Afghan women leaders to speak in Boston area in October
The UJP Afghanistan/Pakistan task force will present two powerful Afghan women's voices for peace next month.
Zoya, of the Revolutionary Association of the Women of Afghanistan (RAWA), will speak to multiple campuses and community groups in the Boston area from Oct 15-20. Malalai Joya, former Afghan anti-warlord parliamentarian who has been called "the bravest woman in Afghanistan", will speak on Oct 29-30.
We invite anyone who would like to help organize these tours to join us at an organizing meeting, Monday, September 14, 6pm, at the Phillips Brooks House in Harvard Yard, near Harvard Square, Cambridge. Find Philips Brooks House with this map of Harvard Yard.
