Next strategy meeting Jan16 with the theme the War and the War at Home.  Connect with MLK weekend.    

Action Taken / Decisions Made

Will check with community outreach for their input.  Will also check to see whether there is a conflict with events in Boston.

Future Tasks

Paul to check on Firends Meeting House,  Cole to check on Democracy Center -- to see about availability.

The Day After.

Flyer is done and different groups are building the event.  It will be from 5 to 7 at the fountain near Park St.

Action Taken / Decisions Made

Speakers suggested were Military Families, IVAW, Vets, Afghanistan speaker and music.

Future Tasks

Keep monitoring events to determine date of speech.

Discussion

Planning group needs to do outreach and see who is being assigned to represent their groups.  Next face to face will have phone connection for those who cannot attend in person.  Different community groups will be contacted to see who their representative is.

Action Taken / Decisions Made

Duncan will draft text to lay out how different group's reps can participate -- come to meetings, phones, list serve, have a communicator designated.

Future Tasks

Ann will be responsible for sending out announcements of meetings for the next 3 months.

Pelosi Protest -- This Friday from 4:30 to 7:00 JFK Street at the Harvard JFK School where she will be speaking.  Get the word out.

Election -- Dec. 8 primary.  Check web link for current information on campaign events.

Finance Committee Report -- Report was presented and there was discussion.  The idea of task forces having their own checking account was tabled.  We agreed to check this with a professional.

Youth -- Having an intern helps organize difrferent peace groups on High School campuses.  Might be something we should be doing.
