Dr. Rosa Elena Bello to give keynote at Brandeis

Dr. Bello is giving a keynote entitled Village by Village, Barrio por Barrio: Integrated Development in Nicaragua at 5 PM in Rappaporte Treasure Hall in the Library at the top of the campus. You can get a parking sticker when you enter the campus as well as directions, which are simple. The lecture will be in Spanish; and translated into English. Spanish-speaking workers at Brandeis are invited to this and other of her events.

Meet your neighbor: Waltham's Ridgely Fuller sails into conflict

By Joyce Kelly - Wicked Local Waltham
June 16, 2011

Waltham resident Ridgely Fuller will fly out of New York on Monday to join the “Freedom Flotilla,” a group of 10 boats that will sail to the Gaza Strip to defy an Israeli blockade and deliver supplies, “carrying some 1,000 unarmed passengers from 22 countries attempting to peacefully challenge the four-year-old illegal blockade,” she said. She took some time to share her thoughts with the Waltham News Tribune before her controversial and dangerous trip.
