Protest Thursday Against Continuation of Afghanistan War

Obama addresses troops in AfghanistanPresident Obama announced Wednesday night that 30,000 US troops will be withdrawn from Afghanistan by September 2012.   His plan will leave 70,000 fighting there, as well as NATO troops and foreign contractors.  Obama offered no new diplomatic initiatives and only a plan for continued war. 

UJP will demonstrate Thursday, June 23, at 5pm, at Park Street Station in downton Boston, to protest the continuation of the Afghanistan war.
