. An Italian play based on the life of 1912 Lawrence strike leader Arturo Giovannitti is being staged in the Everett Mill straight from performances in New York City and at Yale University.

The English language performance in Lawrence will be the only New England staging and it comes exactly 100 years to the day when on November 23, 1912 Arturo Giovannitti gave an impassioned  appeal to a Salem, MA jury set to deliberate his fate on murder charges related to the death of a Lawrence striker.
