FRIDAY NIGHT JUSTICE FILM SERIES: The Justice Film Series of the Theodore Parker UU Church invites you to come see  Al Helm (The Dream): Martin Luther King in Palestine. If you have not seen this film, it's an excellent, intense examination of a cultural exchange between an African-American gospel choir and the Palestinian National Theatre, and it raises lots of questions!  What happens to King's legacy in a cross-cultural context? What's appropriation and what's adaptation? Where are the points of similarity and difference in liberation struggles? How does theatre abbreviate or intensify (or distort?) political/cultural messages that live in another medium? Those are just a few questions that come to mind.
