Stand Out Against Drones: No Killer Drones! No Spy Drones

U.S. drones have killed thousands of innocent people - most recently two hostages, one American and one Italian, both aid workers in the middle east.

We will read the names of victims and protest MIT's connections to the weapons industries and the kind of research that develops these terrible weapons.

Drone Protest at Park Street

A dozen activists braved the cold on the Boston Common March 21, 2015 to raise their voices against US drone warfare, on the 12th anniversary of the US invasion of Iraq, as part of the nation-wide "Spring Rising." 

They held photos of victims of drone attacks and told the stories of civilians caught up in a worldwide conflict with highly imprecise weapons.

No Drones at Honk! Fest

The Eastern Massachusetts Anti-Drones Network marched in the Honk Fest parade Sunday, October 12, with about 15 people, signs and our drone replica.  The Honk Fest brings together activist marching bands from far and wide and the parade includes bands as well as groups supporting various progressive causes.  We got a good reception from the many people watching the parade, with only a couple of negative reactions.

Protesting Drones at MIT

In a ceremony with painful moments, the names of victims of drone attacks were read aloud on Tuesday, May 6, as 50 activists called together by the Eastern Massachusetts anti-drone Network and other groups took part in National Days of Action opposing killer and spy drones.

Carlos ArredondoBoston, Mass. – March 3, 2014 – Carlos Arredondo and his wife Melida will be the Grand Marshalls for the Saint Patrick Peace Parade, the alternative parade, in South Boston on Sunday, March 16. Carlos is well known as one of the heroes of the Boston Marathon bombing.
