Kathy Kelly Inspires at Simmons

Kathy Kelly, a Catholic peace activist and founder of Voices of Creative Non­violence, spoke at several events in the Boston area Nov. 13-15. I attended her talk at Simmons College on Monday afternoon, where she was introduced by Prof. Becky Thompson. It drew about 60 people, more than half of whom where students.

Yard signs and rally signs came in this week!   They look great and are going fast, so if you'd like some for your town, be sure to speak up ASAP!  We're asking a donation of $3.50 for yard signs (if available - only a few left) and $1 for rally signs (coated paper, 18x24).  Below, B4A supporters at Somerville's HONK Festival yesterday.

Matthew HohWhen President Obama announced in December 2009 that he would escalate the Afghanistan war by sending 30,000 additional troops, he promised the American people that troop withdrawals would start in July 2011.   More recently, he said in Lisbon in November 2010 that the war will be turned over to Afghans by the end of 2014.
