Cut Military Budget/Fund Human Needs

Be Part of the Solution . . . The 25% Solution:

With the U.S. facing devastating economic and environmental crises, with our states and cities forced into layoffs and cutbacks, now is the moment to demand a shift in our country’s priorities. Military spending -- now more than $700 billion per year -- is bankrupting our country and draining the life blood of our communities.

Valentine’s Day Rally: Tell Washington to “Have a Heart”

When: Thursday, February 14, 2013, 7:30 am
Where: JFK Federal Building • Government Center • Boston

• Protect Medicare, Social Security, housing, food assistance and other vital programs
• Make large corporations and millionaires pay their fair share
• Cut the Pentagon, Invest in Jobs as the solution to our economic crisis
• Bring our Troops home safely from Afghanistan NOW

It’s crunch time again in Congress.

Vital public programs and millions of jobs are once again on the chopping block as the budget debate rages on.

On Valentine's Day join us to give Senator Warren and Senator Cowan a gigantic Valentine Card and a beautiful gift of our successful Budget for All ballot results.

We hope our new Senators will stand with us in promoting employment, protecting critical public programs, and redirecting Pentagon spending instead of passing an austerity budget.

In 2011 Congress already cut hundreds of billions of dollars from needed public programs.

We can’t afford any more.

We say: Have a Heart! Budget for All!

Fund Justice, Not War

Fund Justice, Not War - In 1967 Martin Luther King said that we must overcome the "giant triplets" of militarism, racism and economic oppression.  Toward this end, we seek to build alliances between the anti-war and social justice movements.  In solidarity with community allies, we are working to overcome the racial and  economic  divide and to support immigrant rights.  Contact Vicky Steinitz Vicky.steinitz@umb.edu or
