Learn about Microlending to Reduce Poverty at the Al Filipov Peace & Justice Forum

Al Filipov was among passengers and crew aboard American Airlines flight 11 which was directed into the World Trade Center on September 11th 2001. The Al Filipov Peace & Justice Forum was established to articulate those issues about which Al cared deeply and to demonstrate how one person can make a profound impact on the lives of those in his or her community. This year's speaker is Jessica Jackley, co-founder of, the world's first peer-to-peer online microlending website. Kiva's mission is to connect people, through lending, for the sake of alleviating poverty.
